TUPAC SHAKUR WASN'T SIGNED TO DEATH ROW?
Delray Richardson, an award-winning songwriter, recently claimed that Tupac Shakur wasn't legally signed to Deathrow Records. He continued by clarifying his statement saying Tupac was still signed to Interscope Records when he was approached by Suge Marion Knight, the then C E O of Deathrow. According to law, you cannot sign another contract while still bound to a former contract you agreed upon.
The songwriter went on to add to his claim by stating that there was no legal document available that could prove that Tupac had been let off his contract with Interscope Records. The next point Delray presented to back his claim was that the document Suge Marion Knight and Tupac Shakur agreed upon when he bailed him out of jail wasn't a contract but was more of a deal memorandum that included what Tupac would have had if he later signed to the record label.

Delray went on by comprehending the details of the memo agreed upon by the late rapper. He claimed it also was in part just a letter letting Interscope Records know that David Kenner and Suge Marion Knight were now Tupac's lawyer and manager respectively.
Due to this, there was a conflict of interest because David Kenner was already representing Deathrow Records and thus could not legally represent Tupac Shakur. Despite the fact, Interscope Records went on to ignore this. Since then, documentation detailing the parties that paid Tupac's bail surfaced. They proved Interscope Records and not Deathrow Records were in the list of companies that contributed to pay Tupac's bail. Suge Knight was just used as a frontman for the companies that were responsible, Time Warner and Atlantic Records being the other stakeholders. Interscope Records was the parent company behind Deathrow Records and their distributor. Time Warner had just signed a million-dollar publishing deal with Deathrow Records then but did not want to publicly be seen to associate with the record company.
